A Dream for Peace is an autobiography by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, a political diplomat who has contributed to African nations' development, independence, and sovereignty. His diplomatic expertise in world politics has influenced this work. Ghoulem Berrah was a freedom fighter for Algeria's independence in his youth. He fled from France after he was arrested while he was an active medical student in Bordeaux. Then he went to join the Algerian War. Just to be arrested in Spain before he reaches his destination. His book demonstrates his story and the challenges he went through on his way.

A few years later, he returned to the United States as a distinguished Fulbright Scholar at Indiana University in Bloomington. His research sparked breakthroughs in the biological sciences. He was named one of the American Men of Science. Dr. Ghoulem Berrah was appointed as a professor at the Yale School of Medicine after receiving his PhD and becoming a permanent member of the New York Academy of Sciences.

I was impressed by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's commitment to his convictions. His view was that African thought was characterized by liberty, freedom, and peace. As a Muslim and radical, Ghoulem Berrah fought for peace by risking his life, and he wrote about his ideas for world peace and African freedom in his book. A significant portion of his book is devoted to his incredible relationship with his black Catholic wife. Which he will spend the rest of his life with, and how they love each other despite their differences

Although the majority of the book is written in English, some conversations are in French, which may be difficult for non-French speakers to understand. Furthermore, I don't entirely agree with some points in the book, but that is my perspective and may differ from others. Those were the only things I didn't like about the book.

I rate A Dream for Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berah 5 out of 5 stars. This book was professionally edited and well-written. I found no typos or grammatical errors while reading this book. I loved the passion and enthusiasm that Dr. Ghoulem Berah contained in his writing as well as his defence and belief in his ideas.

Anyone interested in Africa's diplomatic history should read A Dream for Peace. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about political history. Besides, A Dream for Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berah can be an excellent book for history learners.
