Barbara Galutia Regis is a renowned family practice provider who specializes in the field of healthcare, medicine as well as advocacy. In her book, Surviving the Business of Healthcare, she addresses the need for coming up with a practical approach to seek solutions. The book itself serves as a guidebook, at the same time, providing key insights to the business of healthcare.

The author starts by giving a brief detail about her recent cancer diagnosis. She's diagnosed with amelanotic nodular melanoma. A rare type of skin cancer. It’s quite unfortunate because she's a healthcare expert. Nevertheless, she chooses to embark on this journey relying on her medical expertise to support those in need of assistance.

I find it compelling that she gets to share personal experiences and how they impact her profession. The role that healthcare plays in our lives is not to be underestimated. She comes up with unique options considered as alternatives. The options are effective since they are administered on a practical basis. For instance, she uses an approach known as cradle-to-grave care to derive key insights as to how patients can benefit from the overall experience. Managing healthcare costs is also covered in this topic.

The book itself undertakes an educative approach. I don't see anything wrong with advising people concerning a particular subject. After reading, I find it hard to describe any negative experience. The author's style of writing is unique and compassionate. When you read this book, expect to gain valuable knowledge about healthcare management. It's just as simple as that! The title of the book itself even paints the whole picture to make the reader grasp what is being discussed.

It was hard for me to spot any errors in this book. Therefore, It deserves a rating of 5 out of 5 stars, at best. I find it beneficial and quite informative. The author outlines the details in a clear and well-structured manner. I also love the way the details are intact. The language used is simple, making it easy to read and understand.

While the field of healthcare is diverse and ranges from patient to patient, one thing we must note is that healthcare coverage applies to all. Surviving the Business of Healthcare is one such book that provides a detailed outlook on how to tackle issues affected by healthcare. I think this book applies to all readers who require a healthcare service. Also, with proper insurance coverage, managing the quality of your healthcare guarantees sustainability.
