Review of The Redesigned Earth
The Redesigned Earth by John T. Tanacredi is an informative book that centres its ideas on ecology. The author broadly sheds light upon ecology and the principles of life and discusses them in detail. He further pinpoints the adverse effects human practices have on geological, chemical and biological systems. He also discusses the implications of engineering practices and the way they will affect the earth's surface. The author outlines that these practices will temper with the natural ecosystems and the overall systems, therefore, restructuring the earth as a whole. It is also clear that there will be an attempt to degrade the originally present natural systems because more and more impure systems will have taken charge. He further discusses the key strategic ways we can practice/ employ to preserve biological diversity, the laws governing the environment and lastly paints out a clear picture of case studies carried out so that we can learn more from past experiences to choose either to mould or continue destroying our future as far as ecology is concerned. Examples of such impure practices are the continued human pollution and overdependence on the limited available natural resources which will eventually affect the ecosystems, and habitat and diminish both animal and plant species.
I am impressed with the author's writing approach. The language employed and book structuring was well thought out and planned all through. The author presented what we can regard as a guide to the study of ecology. The exhaustive and detailed explanation of ideas alongside their chronological flow bolsters the story's quality. Apart from being informative and educating, its smooth flawless plot makes it more interesting. I liked it more because of the matrix trajectory of issues that it brings to existence.
Nothing I found absurd about the book after many deliberations. The book is fascinating, enthralling and educative. I also found the book captivating and mind-capturing. The author wrote with conviction and goodwill to enlighten others as far as ecology is concerned and what lies between the lines.
The Redesigned Earth is an exceptionally well-edited book and therefore I am pleased to rate it 4 out of 4 The author employed simple language and also wrote with conviction and experience. His work presentation was also colourful.
Being a brief review of ecology, I recommend it to those aspiring to become researchers in this field and also those who wish to gain/broaden their know-how as far as ecology is concerned. They will all find the book of great importance as they try to amplitude their experiences and broaden their knowledge.
