Bluewater Walkabout by Tina Dreffin is a memoir about the author and her family. The author is a lover of adventures. She wrote about her past experiences and how she met her husband, Peter, who also loves adventures.

The book begins with the expedition of Tina, her husband, and her two children, Warren and Adam, to South Africa. When they got to Johannesburg, South Africa, a traveler informed them of things they should be wary of in the country. Tina also wrote about her past. She wrote about how she endured sexual assaults and harassment from clients at her place of work. She also met her husband, Peter, at Keith's wedding. Tina and Peter had an unpleasant encounter with the police, but the way Peter handled the situation made Tina like him. Back to Tina and her family's expedition: they also met a couple, Dick and Karen, with whom they all had a good time. Tina and her family visited a lot of places and cities, and this seemed like one of her best expeditions. Grab a copy of this book to find out how their expedition ended.

There are many positive aspects to this book. This is a family-centered book that teaches us how to spend time with family and enjoy the bond of family. I learned a lot from the author's life experiences. I admire the love Tina and her family shared. I love the way Tina tried to forget about her past and move forward in life, spending more time on her family, whom she believes are the people who genuinely love and care for her. I also appreciate Keith's help to Tina when she was in difficult situations. I also commend the act of humanity of the traveler who informed them to be wary of HIV/AIDS. Tina's personality is really worthy of emulation. I like her personality. I love how she cared for other children like Nick, Gary, and Sam as if they were her own. This book takes us to tourist places in different countries and shows how one can enjoy an adventure with the family.

I didn't find anything wrong in this book. I felt emotional while reading about the sad experiences the author went through in life. I found a few things in this book that made me feel uncomfortable, like the sexual harassment the author went through. Also, the sad news about Tina being diagnosed with breast cancer. These are not negative aspects, but I wasn't pleased with them. It made me feel sad while reading the book.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I found a few errors. This shows that it was professionally edited. I recommend this book to women, adults, and lovers of adventures.
