Review of Entrepreneurship: 5 Best PStay-At-Home Moms Who Want to Start An Online Business
Are you a stay-at-home mom who desires to establish an online business? Entrepreneurship: 5 Best Practices by Patricia Jennings is designed to show you the ropes to achieve this worthwhile goal.
This book focuses on the unique circumstances of many stay-at-home moms, who despite having varied duties to tend to, desire to maximize their potential as entrepreneurs. In 123 pages, this book provides detailed information about the different aspects of building businesses online. There are about six chapters in the book. The information in each chapter is properly organized under several subheadings. Chapter one contains the following subheadings, Mother Makes Better Entrepreneurs, Is an Online Business For You? What if You Fail? Qualities You Need Choosing an Online Business, and Online Business Ideas. Subsequent chapters discuss social media management, building a business plan, sourcing funds, conducting market research online, effective email marketing, and many others.
I found this book full of helpful information. The author made entrepreneurship appealing and easy to master. Key aspects of building a successful business were well explained. For instance, the information on page 53 helped me understand why growing my business online has been such a difficult endeavor. The author's detailed tips on SEO optimization were quite enlightening. It is my favorite part of the book.
Also, the clarity of the text is noteworthy. On page 90, the author clearly outlines the pros and cons of obtaining financial loans for a startup business. Also, a concise summary of information can be found in some parts. An example of this can be found on page 65 under the subheading of Key Takeaways.
Another interesting feature of this book is the interviews of accomplished mompreneurs on page 95. This is an innovative addition that encourages the reader to work towards achieving their goals by learning from other accomplished entrepreneurs.
The only dislike I have about this book concerns some awkward sentences found in the text. An example can be found on page 74 which says, "You should know what you like most to do. Think about before having a family, when you had less responsibility and focused on understanding yourself better, what were the things you wanted to do then?" However, these did not disrupt my overall enjoyment of the book.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It was professionally edited. It contains vital information on building online businesses. It mentions numerous helpful digital tools, online channels, apps, and much more. Overall, it is an indispensable tool for readers who desire to become entrepreneurs.
