Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's autobiography, A Dream For Peace, provides a thorough account of the author's life and experiences. Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's devotion to his nation and willingness to go to any lengths to preserve his people's independence is the subject of the book A Dream For Peace. He was born in Aïn Beïda, Constantine, Algeria, during the colonial era. He was still young when his father passed away. Furthermore, he was the only son and was brought up by his mother. Activist organizations began to emerge in Algeria as a result of France's colonialism of the Algerian people. He received a scholarship to study in France, where Ghoulem met prejudice while studying medicine. To fight the colonization of his country, he decided to become an activist. He was imprisoned for standing up for justice, but that did not stop him from seeking peace for his country. He studied until he graduated with a medical degree. Not only that, but he is a physician, scientist, advocate for freedom, special advisor, supporter of peace, and social activist. Additionally, the author notes that he was the first scientist to offer a hypothesis on the “reverse transcriptase enzymes.”

The author always had a single dream which I found appealing: to bring about peace. The book's inclusion of images to help the readers better understand what the author was describing is something else I really liked. Because of the story's straightforward language and consistent portrayal of each character's role, I was quite impressed, and I liked reading it. The message and story are fast-paced, as they are filled with inspirational quotes that encourage people to support peace and keep a positive outlook to succeed. This gives the book a genuine sound.

Nothing about the book bothered me because it was well-written. Even though the book was too long, that did not stop me from reading. That didn't affect my understanding and comprehension of this wonderful memoir. Its beginning and conclusion piqued my interest. Even the straightforwardness of the book makes it simpler for readers to keep reading.

The book had a strong message and was fascinating. It was quite comforting to read. The book was incredibly interesting, and I loved reading it. It was engrossing and had some thought-provoking points. There were no grammatical errors or mistakes in it; therefore, it was professionally edited. As a result, I am rating this book 4 out of 4 stars.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in African history, politics, or colonialism.
