Three Paths to Autonomy and Self-Actualisation for Therapists and Clients: Integration of Transactional Analysis, Spirituality, and Quantum Field by Linda Gregory is a comprehensive book aimed to help practitioners of Psychology. The focus of the book is the concept of self-actualization and the various ways in which to self-actualize. The author uses numerous theories and scientific research to guide the reader and sheds light on how to help those suffering from ailments such as anxiety and depression. The book even goes a step further and guides the reader through meditation. This guide is methodical and detailed so that whoever reads this can follow along easily.

The flow of author Linda Gregory’s work is almost as freeing as it is informative. Gregory manages to provide multiple viewpoints, types of research, and sound opinions that can be substantiated by the research studies they have cited. This author speaks to the reader in an understanding way, with empathy and compassion which I found to be moving. The examples are given to provide insight into what facts the writer provided making it easy to comprehend. I enjoyed the wide variety of topics because I learned things I never expected to.

The first thing I noticed that was hard to miss was the formatting of the book and the differing fonts. In some places, the fonts cut off some words at the top making it difficult to read. It was strange because the book itself was written by someone knowledgeable. I was surprised to see this and I found it quite off-putting. There was also one instance where a quote was improperly cited in the body of the text despite there being a bibliography. This should have been something addressed in the editing process.

The author took care to spend time researching the elements they needed for their book, which is admirable. However, the editing mistakes were hard to ignore. The text font changes happened frequently throughout the novel, and this got in the way of what could be a good book. At times it did seem that the author was dumping too much information at once which could make it difficult for a reader to follow along. Keeping these factors in mind I have to rate it two out of four stars.

I would recommend this book to specialists who practice Psychology. This book does delve deep into spirituality and for those interested in books about spirituality, this one could be for you. It is also great for a reader who is looking for help and enlightenment.
