Review of Breaking the Mold
[Following is a volunteer review of "Breaking the Mold" by Fabian Videla.]
Breaking The Mold is a book by Fabian Videla that gives amazing insight into the world of business creation and management.
The book begins with a narrative of an event that shaped the author's views on the importance of good customer service. Fabian walked into a car dealership with his son to purchase a new car. Unfortunately, because of the dealer's ill-mannerism and poor customer service, he lost a potential customer. Another dealer treated Fabian and his son nicely, offered them refreshments, and even offered them a test-drive of the car he chose. Here he made the purchase and paid in full. This was one of the many examples of the importance of good customer service in an enterprise. This book contains multiple detailed tips on how to start a business and how to manage it. There are multiple relevant experiences of the author here, which include how he started a small business and developed it into a multi-million dollar enterprise. This is honestly one of the greatest and most inspiring books I have ever read. There are many motivational books on the internet that tell you what you need to do without explaining how to do those things. This book is definitely not one of those types. Here you will be shown exactly what you need to do and how to do it. From getting a license for your enterprise to employing the necessary personnel, the details here are impeccable. It felt like reading a step-by-step manual on how to get rich! I love how the author began with an insightful experience he had had and proceeded to highlight how he applied the lesson he learnt from it to his own business. I also enjoyed reading the "Lessons of Success" at the end of each chapter of the book. These were effective summaries of the entire chapter. The author also rehashed each and every one of these lessons at the end of the book, making them easier to refer to and, thus, easier to remember.
This book was so exceptional that I found no flaw in it. The penmanship here is top-notch, and it was easy to grasp the essence of the book. There were no errors whatsoever in the book. Apparently, it was professionally edited. I really loved how the author infused the book with jokes and puns. It made the whole idea of managing a business seem less scary!
I'm rating this book 4 out of 4 stars . It was very easy to understand the explanations in the book. The comprehensive details made sure of that. I recommend this book to people who have just decided to start a business and also to those who have not made up their mind yet. This book has shown me that there really is no time like the present.
