Review of Surviving the Business of Healthcare
Surviving the Business of Healthcare, written by Barbara Galutia Regis PA-C, is a non-fiction book about the healthcare system. The author uses stories of her childhood to explain how health insurance affects healthcare quality. The books talk about the importance of patient education and healthcare cost planning. To show how the two are important, she outlines what she thinks is wrong with the American healthcare system. She talks about what she tries to do to provide better healthcare and improve the system. To ensure that the readers understand the healthcare business, Barbara uses her professional and personal experiences. Her father was a healthcare provider, which motivated her to join the healthcare business. She even branded a clinic which made the clinic successful. She was diagnosed with cancer while writing this book and finished writing it with her husband's help. Do you want to know the importance of medical insurance and how to find better healthcare at affordable prices? Read this book.
What I liked about this book was that the author used her personal and professional experiences to explain common problems in the healthcare system. It makes the information trustworthy to the reader. Her experiences, such as being diagnosed with cancer and how she managed to get better healthcare at an affordable price, inspire the reader to read the book since the information it provides is helpful. She provides insights into the healthcare system, talking about problems she thinks affects it and how we can fix them. Finally, I liked the topic about patient protection which is helpful since most people do not know how they can be protected while receiving the healthcare they deserve from healthcare providers.
I did not find anything to dislike in this book since it was great. The author uses simple language, ensuring that anyone can read it. She used simple words which don't require a medical degree to understand.
I rate Surviving the Business of Healthcare by Barbara Galutia Regis PA-C four out of four stars. The book was explicitly edited; hence, I found no errors. It had many positive aspects and no negative aspects. With the information provided in the book and how the author presented it, deducting a star would be unfair; hence, the rating.
I recommend this book to anyone interested in knowing important details in the healthcare business. It would be helpful to them since the book contains information on the healthcare business, such as choosing a physician, the importance of medical insurance, and planning on medical costs. The author avoided profanities; hence, anyone can read it.
