A Dream For Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah is a historical fiction. It is a memoir of the author. Dr. Berrah, who was born in Ain Beida, Algeria, gave a detailed account of his early childhood, family background, love life, culture, and traditions of his people. Dr. Berrah, being a purpose-driven person, discussed his own ugly experiences in school and those of his country under French colonial masters, as well as his struggle for independence.

Dr. Berrah took advantage of a scholarship program offered for him to study at the university. He became a popular student among his peers through his active participation in academic activities and politics on and off campus. As a medical student, he contributed immensely to the field of science and earned himself a great reputation among his peers. After he finished his studies, he dedicated his life to a greater cause by serving humanity all over the world. In one of his good works, he helped in creating peace between the Israeli and Palestinian wars; Algeria and Ivory Coast; and many more; and also contributed meaningfully to notable global needs. After so many ups and downs in the life of Dr. Berrah, he gets married to the love of his life, Titi, and moves on with his life.

There are a lot of things I enjoyed about this book. First, the author's personal experience and his desire to contribute his quota not only to his country but also to humanity and the world at large were amazing and encouraging. It's interesting to see that people like this still exist. His lifestyle of dedication and commitment was a big motivation for me personally. Another thing I enjoyed about this book was the writer's love for education. This helps build his confidence in exploring other important tasks along his political journey. This shows that the role of education in achieving a greater purpose in life cannot be overemphasized.

Additionally, I like the fact that he includes photo evidence and official letters in the book to authenticate the story. Aside from all this, this book taught me a moral lesson. I learned that the place of one's birth does not determine how far he can go in life. For instance, Dr. Barrah was born in the small village of Ain Beida, but it didn't limit him from having a global impact. There was nothing I disliked about this book; it was enjoyable, informative, and educational.

Also, I did not encounter many typographical errors, which means this book was professionally edited. Given this, I rate A Dream For Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah 4 out of 4 stars. The reason for my rating was the positive aspect mentioned above. I recommend this book to lovers of history and the independence struggle.

Dr. Berrah is ambitious...a trait I admire a lot. How he rose to success in a system designed to make him fail is something that intrugues me. I look forward to reading the full story. Nicely written review.

the author truly is a purpose-driven person. Even though he came from humble beginnings, he grew to have a big impact, not only in his own country of Algeria, but in the world at large. I enjoy reading about driven and inspirational characters such as Dr. Berrah. Thank you for the insightful review.

Dr Berrah is an admiring role model. I love his devotion to the course of gaining Algeria’s independence. He was successful all around, politically, academically, and maritally.
