Review of Reconfigurement
No one can deny the importance of well-organized finances. The economic and social factors that change rapidly in the modern world impose a continuous actualization of knowledge about money. Reconfigurement, although a short read, manages to describe the real estate of finances and the importance of planning ahead. E. Alan Fleischauer has gathered the latest information and briefly describes every mistake we make when we think about finances while explaining how to assure retirement with success. The author chronologically aligns all the needed insurance programs. It all begins while still being an employer with a disability insurance policy and income protection and ends with long-term programs like life insurance and qualified plans. The author does not miss talking about investing. Also, this book accentuates the importance of working at a job you like and presents helpful information for choosing a career.
I enjoyed this book, although I do not have economic knowledge. The usage of jokes helps the reader’s path through the economic terminology that can be heavy at times. The author does not talk only about figures but also about the psychology of money and how to use it for better financial security. The text provides all the information the reader needs to know about insurance at this very time and describes which are the strategies that will help in the long run. A helpful bonus from the author is the book recommendations for further financial knowledge deepening.
As for the negative aspects, I would have liked the chapters to have names. Also, the economic terminology is at times too densely presented. But for the reader that has at least basic knowledge may not be a problem. The explanations are brief but it is a fact to expect from a short book: other books would be required for a deeper understanding than the one provided.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I think the author sincerely shared the financial knowledge existing at the moment and put effort into making it as comprehensible as possible. This book contains more information than you would expect and describes the financial phenomenon for personal advantage.
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about personal finances. I do not think the information that is laid out can be helpful only for people who think about retirement. It is necessary knowledge for all the aspects of life that are fragile and may need insurance at any time.
