Many people think having fun in life, living your life, and going on vacation are after you retire but that's not true. Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a non-fiction novel that talks about planning ahead. The book is geared towards helping workers plan ahead and enlightening them on what to expect during retirement. It talks about what retirees will do to overcome obstacles during their retirement age. Reconfiguring your life is a bold step in the journey of adulthood.

I enjoyed reading this book because it is educative. It lays more emphasis on pre and post-retirement strategies, income protection, investment, and spending strategies. This book answers the question when do you start, how do you plan, what are your goals, how much do you need to accumulate before your retire, what are your expectations for retirement, and what are your concerns? This book guides you and helps you step up and face a new reality. It covers many things about retirement such as income, money management, social security, long-term care insurance, mortgages, disability protection, career assessments, life policies, risk tolerance, inflation risk, liquidity risk, and a whole lot more.

Reading this book made me feel like I was receiving advice directly from a financial advisor. It made me feel like I was having a personal conversation with a financial advisor. The book weighs the pros and cons of different retirement strategies and helps you know which is an excellent choice to go for. It contains a lot of information that helps adults take advantage of this moment of their lives and make it a turning point. I also like the fact that the author also wrote down jokes in his book which made it relaxing. This book is also focused on working at a job you love, having fun before you retire, living your dreams, making your life worth it, taking advantage of this moment, utilizing your opportunity, and standing up for yourself to make your life a better one.

One thing I dislike about this book is that there are so many areas to emphasize on which made the book bulky, slightly confusing, and a bit mind-numbing.

This book was exceptionally well edited. Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer deserves four out of four stars because it explains the introductory concepts that all those looking to retire should know. I recommend this book to adults and retirees.
