Review of Fear Not, Dream Big, & Execute
A complete guide on how to acknowledge your dreams and make them come true. Fear not, Dream Big & Execute by Jeff Meyer takes the reader on a journey of self-discovery and action. Through great quotes, detailed explanations, and practical activities, the author tries his best in turning every dreamer into a doer.
I was pleasantly surprised by his unique approach. This is not just another guy talking about God and dreams. The author is actually committed to making a change in people´s lives, so he provides exercises and practical solutions for when you are feeling stuck. In my humble opinion, this is the highlight of the book. These aren´t only words, these are tools that are actually going to help you transform your dream into a reality.
Furthermore, the book also covers topics such as anxiety, frustration, fears, and insomnia. Everything that could be standing between you and your dream is listed here with a solution below.
However, in spite of doing a magnificent job in addressing common problems at the time of fulfilling your dreams, I am afraid to say that sometimes it got tedious. Hundreds of lines paraphrasing the same idea over and over again. Perhaps, he could have synthesized some of his ideas. As Shakespeare said, brevity is the soul of wit.
On the other hand, for non-religious people, the content of Christian references may be a little bit too high. There are bible verses on almost every page, and the author often comments about his faith and experiences in the religious field. I am not a Christian, yet I enjoyed reading this book. Though, if you cannot put up with this, I highly recommend staying away from it.
I rate it 3 out of 4 stars because I firmly believe this book could have a life-changing impact on people and actually help them in the pursuit of their dreams.
Moreover, the book seemed professionally edited and it is well-organized, which made it absolutely easier to read.
I would recommend this book to dreamers of every age, to those who want to find happiness in achieving what they have always desired but are uncertain about how to do it. This book will give you answers and ignite the bravery in you to go after everything you want.
On the contrary, if you do not have a dream, this is also the book for you. I dare you to finish it without knowing what your dream is and what you have to do to make it come true.
