Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's memoir, A Dream For Peace, is an intriguing read. The memoir is divided into seventeen chapters that detail every significant event in the author's life, beginning with his birth. The memoir demonstrates how a single person can be involved in a broad range of activities that benefit human well-being. In one life, he is a doctor, scientist, freedom fighter, special adviser, peace lover, and social activist. The author enthusiastically described his life and how he was involved in all of these activities, as well as his encounters with great people in history. His faith in one God, as well as his love and marriage life, gives us a vivid experience to read. There are more intriguing facts to know about his life in this book.

The author included photos of his life events, which allowed me to connect with his life more easily. I admire how his personality evolved from his childhood. The hardships he endured as a result of French colonialism were unbearable. Having witnessed such misery, I admire his desire to save the poor from those unhappy moments. Not everyone who has overcome adversity in their childhood will fight for the goodness of the world when they become an adult. Because the passage of time has a critical impact on our lives. It would alter our perspectives and personalities. But, even after years, the author’s desire to do great things for people remained in his heart. I liked how he travels around the world and participates in various conflicts to demonstrate the importance of peace. According to the author, war is not a viable option for achieving peace. We can only achieve peace through words, as he demonstrated through his life events. Another plus is that the memoir includes details from his personal life, such as his relationships with his mother and his three wives. There are more interesting secrets, political events, and moments with great people included, which adds to the readers' knowledge. The book was professionally edited. It has no spelling or grammatical errors.

This book contains no negative aspects. It was a satisfying memoir to read. You will cry while reading this book. Because there are some sensitive events that will break the hearts of sensitive readers. Aside from that, there are no problems with reading this book.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. There are no typos in this book, so I didn't deduct any stars. All the chapters are well-organized and depicted. Despite its length, the book was fascinating to read. I've been hooked on the story since the beginning of the memoir. As a result, I gave it four stars.

Anyone who enjoys autobiographies will enjoy this book. As a result, I recommend it to them. I also recommend it for young adults. It would be both informative and inspiring for them.
