Hollywood and the Bible is a book about movies based on Bible stories. The author gives various examples of movies that depict books of the Bible.

I would rate this book a 2 out of 4. The book starts off with a strong hook in the first few pages. Although the title does state Hollywood and the Bible, I expected more than just summaries of various movies. The lack of explaining or giving more to the story than just summaries of movies is why I would rate this a 2 out of 4. Although, the author is well versed in various movies/acts of the Bible, there is a definite lack of authenticity on the authors part. I feel that this book is written more like a research paper.

The target audience would be those that have an interest in locating movies that give visuals of the books of the Bible. Teachers, pastors, religious workers would benefit from this book by being able to quickly identify visual aids to help deliver the stories to visual learners.

Due to the limited target audience, the author could expand the number of readers by incorporating more details of how these movies correlate to the actual readings of the Bible.
