If you are one person who is always looking for a better alternative to medicine and cure, this book Winning the War on Cancer: The Epic Journey Towards a Natural Cure written by Sylvie Beljanski is the right one for you. Sylvie goes ahead to shed light on how pharmaceutical companies and corporations are out there to do whatever it takes to make money and interests forgetting the real patients.

This book is very different from other books about cancer and it is mostly because of how the author is able to tell us about her life encounter with medicine. Sylvie took over from her father, biochemist Miko Beljanski, even though she was already a certified lawyer after being admitted to the French Bar. Dr. Beljanski took it upon himself to fight cancer naturally which he proved worked after treating the former French President who had cancer prolonging his life to even getting another term in office. After doing all these, his lab was raided and all the research he had dedicated his life to was confiscated. This is why Sylvie took it upon herself to educate the masses on natural ways to treat themselves as she fights pollution and other causes of cancer.

The author has highlighted in detail how many natural remedies and plant extracts from trees such as Rauwolfia vomitoria and Pereira found in the Amazon could be used to help cancer patients and even used as a treatment for other diseases. She has shown how cancerous cells can be separated from other healthy cells and be prevented from spreading which leads to the drastic reduction of cancer naturally and at the same time proven medically to work.

What frustrated me a bit while reading the book is the lines that are double bulleted and the small fonts that were used while writing in italics. This might not be a big deal to some people but for me, it made reading the book a little bit harder and broke up the flow of the story. However, the book has been well edited with no grammatical mistakes that I could notice showing how professional it is.

I rate this book, Winning the War on Cancer: The Epic Journey Towards a Natural Cure 3 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book to anyone, not limited to any age bracket, who has an interest in learning more about how cancer can be contained and treated naturally and the various steps taken to attain that.
