A Dream For Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah is a memoir of an Algerian who lived his life to ensure that his countrymen, and as many that he could offer a hand, got the best out of life.

Dr. Ghoulem, at a tender age, openly expressed his dissatisfaction against favoritism whenever the opportunity availed itself. On getting to college, he pioneered several political movements. These movements had a similar cause, which was to advocate for the infringed rights of one another. Afterward, Dr. Ghoulem's political activities involved relating with nations, regions, and world organizations. A Dream For Peace illustrates the struggles, pains, wins, and defeats that heroes who chose to fight for others experienced while walking on the path of patriotism.

I liked this book especially because it emphasized the need to be persistent, particularly when it is for the right course. This message was passed across indirectly by the life of Dr. Ghoulem. He was involved in a lot of diplomatic dialogues and had the credit of having a successful dialogue in most cases. His success was due to his willingness to deploy his abilities to handle difficult situations till there was a desired conclusion.

Also, this book, being a memoir by a key player in the civilization of the African continent, could serve as a reliable source of history to the present and future generations. The book provides specific details such as the time, dates, and locations of different events that have shaped Africa's history. Apart from the fun of reading this text, I got to know a lot of things, which I didn't know about Africa before reading this book.

The length of this book was my only concern. It was a bit difficult to get to the end because of how voluminous it was. Also, in the beginning, the narration was a bit dull, and this affected my concentration. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I am not deducting a star because my concerns were taken care of as I progressed into this book. Dr. Ghoulem properly synchronized the various aspects of his life into the chapters of this book. In addition, this book was perfectly edited. I didn't find any error in it.

I recommend this book to people who have an interest in being in a position that may require them to make decisions for a large number of people. The book contains several events that could help decision-makers see how sensitive their decisions are to the welfare of their people.
