It's an interesting book you just want to keep going on reading as you go along. Worth your time. A dream for Peace is a wonderful memoir that was written by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah who is a political diplomat. He completed high school and then traveled to France to do his studies in medicine. In the year of 1961 he made a big breakthrough in Medical science. He acquired his PHD in microbiology during the year of 1963 and was offered a position as professor of Virology at Yale university school of medicine, and resigned after a couple of years to embark on his quest towards achieving world peace.
He has contributed to development, independence and autonomy of African countries. We see his struggles as an Algerian child living in an European colony and later on moving on to being an advisor to the president of the Republic. There is continuous mention of his black, beautiful, loving wife in the book whom he has an amazing relationship with. It's a heart melting love story within a political history book.
In the book he also describes in detail the places he visited. He is a courageous man which is displayed in his actions towards helping to achieve peace for an African country called Cote d'Ivoire and also in helping to resolve Isrealian conflicts. He is a true advocate for peace.
It shows a man's determination to save the world from war and achieve peace. He is an inspiration for generations to come.
He has been able to contribute greatly to humanity. Dr. Ghoulem Berrah shows that he is a man of many talents and achieves greatly in whatever he sets himself out to do.
This book is an ambassador's memoir who lived a very rich and amazing life with hurdles , which he overcame throughout his determination to see the world in harmony. He encourages others who are out there, and would like to do good for the world, to take the first step towards achieving good for the world and not fear. The book exhibits an example of wisdom.
It's a well written book anyone who is interested in diplomatic history of Africa would greatly appreciate and find interesting. It's for lovers of political history.
We see that an ordinary man capable of fall in love and being in touch with a human soft side, can also do great things to change the world and history for generations to come. Dr Ghoulem Berrah missions are a good example of being of service to the better of human life globally. The book deserves a rating of 4 out of 4.
