Review of A Dream For Peace
Some people are just born to change this world and have a great impact on it. While some impact the world in a negative way, others impact it in such a positive way that you wish they could live forever on this earth. Ghoulem Berrah is such a person. A Dream for Peace by Ghoulem Berrah is a biography of his wonderful life and accomplishments.
An important personality and a person with a rare peace-loving personality were born in an uneasy town in Algeria. This boy, who seemed perfectly mundane, grew up and participated in every normal activity and was properly schooled by his loving mother. He saw life in a different way and wanted peace for his beloved country. He became involved in politics to get a chance not only to have a voice or an opinion, but to actually make some real change. He excelled in the universities he attended and passed with flying colors. Dr Ghoulem Berrah grew into a man who was loved by many and used politics to bring about peace in several places.
I was so inspired by the actions of Dr. Ghoulem Berrah. I love this book. It is the most fascinating and inspiring piece of literature that I have read this month. I love how it was written. The book is very detailed and offers the reader a chance to learn about everything that went on in the life of Dr. Ghoulem Berrah. I loved the gradual transitioning of the story from his birth, to his teenage life and university life, to his life as a fully grown man. His personal life, which includes his marriage and all the feelings he experienced, was also interesting to read about.
The only thing that I can say I disliked about this book was the length. The entire book encompassed a total of over six hundred pages. Like I stated earlier in the paragraph above, I loved that the book had enough details. However, this is a memoir, and some parts of a person's life story might not appeal to everyone. Some details can be written in a concise manner so that the important details are talked about more, while the other ones can just give the reader enough information to understand what is being talked about. For someone to finish reading this book, he/she has to dedicate a lot of time to it and might just get bored while reading for so long.
Ghoulem Berrah's A Dream for Peace was professionally edited. I only came across two errors while reading. I learned a lot about politics, government, and family matters. I am so happy I read this book, because honestly, I can't think of any situation where I could have learned all that I learned while reading it. Therefore, I am rating it 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend this book to those looking to impact the world positively and those who love reading about politics.
