Written by Dr Ghoulem Berrah, A Dream For Peace is the autobiography of a man who has inspired countless people and influenced the course of his country's future. Dr Ghoulem Berrah was born in Aïn Beïda, a small town in the province of Constantine, at the foot of the Aurès Mountains, in northeastern Algeria. Raised by a loving and kind mother and a proud Sahigi father, Dr Berrah grew up in a system that was designed by French colonists to make Algerians forget their heritage. Right from a young age, the author faced racism and showed a strong sense of justice and fairness. Early on in his life, Dr Berrah had to flee the country and leave behind his life as a medical student in Bordeaux, France, in order to enrol in the Algerian war. He made a huge impact in the struggle for dialogue between Israel and Palestine. The author also met with some of history's most influential figures such as Chairman Mao Zedong, President John Kennedy, Pope John Paul II, Mr Robert McNamara, and Mrs Golda Meir. This is a small glimpse of Dr Berrah's many accomplishments.

I loved that the author added images at certain points in this book. They added substance and helped to picture who the author was describing or referring to. The author described his life in vivid detail. You could easily picture the memories he described, such as his life in his village and the kindness and love in his mother's eyes as she dotes on him. I loved the author's open-mindedness in terms of his acceptance of different religions. It was truly refreshing.

I loved the author's sense of justice. Even at a young age, the author's strength shone through the pages of this book. The author stood up for what was right numerous times when others would have gone silent at such a young age. He did not accept the racist treatment that was handed out to him. The author added a glossary at the end of every chapter. Unfortunately, it was not as extensive as I would have liked. I feel that the author's dreams of peace and unity are an inspiration. There wasn't anything I disliked about this book.

I give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. The strength and character of the author, his strong sense of justice, his open-mindedness, the numerous outstanding achievements, the author's honesty, and the frank description of the current obstacles to peace and unity in the world all contributed to this book's final rating. I found some errors while reading this book; therefore, this is a professionally edited book.

I would recommend this book to those who wish to make a difference in the world. This is because this book can inspire anyone to take action and fix the things that are wrong with this world. This book contains absolutely no erotic scenes or profanity.
