A Dream for Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah is a memoir of the author's life experiences. This book tells the story of the author, who was one of the Pan-African revolutionaries who helped fight for independence in Algeria. The author gives the historical account of how whites discriminated against and racially abused blacks.

The author was born in Algeria during the French colonial rule. He lost his father at a tender age and was single-handedly raised by his mother. His father, Hamedi Berrah, loved to hunt, and like most of the men in the region, he was often seen carrying a rifle around. Ghoulem Berrah was a brilliant student. He got a scholarship to study at a university in France. He was a victim of racism and discrimination. He fought against discrimination and racism as a political activist. Despite being a student on scholarship, he didn't mind losing his scholarship in the course of fighting for what was right. He became a medical doctor and a political activist. He got married to a Catholic black woman, Titi, after several marriages in the past. Get this book to find out more about Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's life experience.

The author gave full details of his life experience. I love the author's narrative style. The author was very humble and friendly to everyone, despite the amazing things he had achieved and his position in society. I like the author's perseverance in fighting against the ill treatment and discrimination against his countrymen by whites. He was arrested and imprisoned at one point in the fight for liberation. I like how the author grew from being a nobody to becoming a well-known scientist and political activist. I also like how his friends from medical school helped him hide from the police when they wanted to arrest him for being a political activist.

There was absolutely nothing wrong I could find in this book. The plot was very realistic, and the author painted a very vivid picture in the minds of the readers. I really enjoyed reading this book. It expanded my knowledge of the colonization and independence of Algeria. It also helped me to discover many places and countries I had no knowledge of. I also like the author's ability to maintain peace and resolve controversy at all costs. Berrah's mother was lovely and caring. She's a role model many mothers should look up to. After the death of her husband, she struggled to ensure Berrah had a good formal education. The author's achievements inspired me a lot.

I'm rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. I found no errors in this book. This shows that it was exceptionally well-edited. I recommend this book to political activists, medical doctors, and people who love historical books.
