Accessing proper healthcare has been a big issue for many people at this time. Surviving the Business of Healthcare by Barbara Galutia Regis is an informative book that provides us with knowledge of how the healthcare system works and how to cope with it.

The author begins the book by telling the story of her early life and how she ended up being who she is today. She came from a long line of physicians, and that inspired her to be a physician. Her dad was a physician and her biggest mentor. She loved the passion her dad put into his work, no matter the circumstances, to make sure the health of his patients was the main priority. This had an effect on her and she decided to do more than just treat patients but also educate people on easy tasks they should do to survive healthcare. The author shared many facts we should know about gaining proper healthcare, like having health insurance, protecting our loved ones, having a primary care provider, how to get medications at a cheap price, and lots more. Get this book to know all the secrets the author revealed.

This isn't a regular book I will pick up to read, but the information it passes to the public is very necessary. One of the things that struck me the most from the book was the need to have health insurance. The author shares her experience of how health insurance saved her when she was diagnosed with cancer. Many people don't really care about their health because they don't know who to talk to. The author shared how important it is to have a primary care provider. A primary care provider is someone you can talk to about your health issues, and the person guides you on the necessary steps to take. The book contained a lot of information on what the public should learn about having proper healthcare.

I found no negative aspects in this book. The author used easy and concise words to write the book so that even a person with no proper knowledge of medical terms would understand it. I applaud the author for her incredible research and suitable solutions the reader should take. This book was totally satisfying to me.

This book left me with a lot to think about and start planning for the better. I'm rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. I found no errors in the book. This shows that it was exceptionally well-edited. I recommend this book for families and medical practitioners.

Regis' book serves as a reminder that the healthcare industry is not just about providing medical care but also understanding the business side of things.
