Review of Bluewater Walkabout
The world is a vast community of people with different cultures. We have seen on screens and on our social media platforms different cultures that have amazed us. Everyone must move beyond their closet to view other amazing places. Travel is not only for fun. There are other important reasons people travel. Some people travel to get away from their problems and find healing. Bluewater Walkabout by Tina Dreffin is a typical book that depicts finding healing through travel. This book is based on a true-life event of the author and will awe the minds of every reader.
Bluewater Walkabout is a 23-chapter, 228-page book. This book is an action-packed thriller with a lot of lessons one can learn from it. The author, who is the narrator and the protagonist of this book, was married to Peter and had two boys, Adam and Warren. Tina appreciates traveling so much. The South Pacific Expend it on, as named by Tina and her husband Peter, was the latest adventure we were undertaking, which was in Johannesburg, South Africa. What a well-thought-out location with a lot of interesting tourist centers, animals, and diverse cultures. It's going to be real fun. All preparation had begun for this expedition, and everyone was excited about it. Tina recalled her previous experiences while traveling. It has been a very sad experience. She also narrated how she lost her child due to a miscarriage, and also the ill-treatment she received from Jane. The travel experience was fun and exciting. It was funny how they lost their bag of gold. I don't want to spoil the fun of this book. Grab a copy to get more exciting stories.
I enjoyed this book so much. I liked the quotes at the end of each chapter of the book because they were inspiring and motivating, and I appreciate the author for coming up with such an idea. I also appreciated Tina's emphasis on her husband's unending support for her during her difficult time. This can be motivating for most men who are out there and have abandoned their duties. The travel experience was thrilling and exciting. The way the author described Africa and the animals she had encountered boosted my morale to venture on a trip to South Africa. Her style of writing was top-notch and captivating. Tina's story was indeed touching. I commend her for being strong after she has encountered trauma.
I enjoyed this book. However, at some point, the author over-emphasized her past, thereby taking us out of the context of the book, and it was boring. I also noticed a few errors in the book. I came across very mild sexual content and profane words. Also, on the start page, I noticed that the disclaimer and acknowledgment are on the same page. It would have been more appropriate for it to be on a separate page.
Based on what has been said, I would rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book to lovers of adventure books.
