Review of Marijuana Martinis
Marijuana Martinis: This book holds the imperative knowledge that every cannabis user can benefit from, not only in terms of health but also to get the best user experience. We all think that Marijuana is the word that puts a smile on the faces of our demographic population, and leaves most of our elderly people frowning. In Marijuana Martini this belief of ours is retorted by taking us through the history of marijuana usage dating back to 9000 BC. Components of marijuana are remarkably discussed bringing in the notion that the proper control of the components can regulate the desired effects. Given, that the purpose is well understood. Lastly, depending on the recreational or the medicinal purpose, the types of strains and modes of ingestion are recommended.
I can not help but admire the author, Liv Hamrick, not just for her work, but also for her valiant efforts to take up an issue that is widely stigmatized. She shared parts of her journey which started to battle a medical condition of hers. Whenever I used weed, I had different effects each time, this brought me to the conclusion that my sensitivity to weed could have been the reason. Unaware of what reactions went on inside me that didn’t in others, kept me away from it. Even from my perspective, this book has furnished me with enough knowledge by giving me a choice to use it or not. The last chapter in this book summarises the entire book for the reader to go through most of the content again so that the information is revised, recollected, and refreshed.
Due to the illegality of marijuana in the majority of countries, the research that is required to establish data regarding the pros and cons is still not fully established. So this might be the most effective work on the data published by the companies researching hemp so far but still, I think we are years behind to see the wonders or the woes of this herb. While reading the book, especially when I was nearing the end, I found that the book had become repetitive, and felt like it was an attempt to lengthen the paragraphs.
I would rate this book 3 out of 4. Initially, I intended to rate the book 2 out of 4, but there has to be an entire point for the subject of the book. It is very important to put forward the effects of marijuana as it has become one of the frequently and widely used psychoactive drugs. I could have given the book a maximum rating as the editing was also good, but the author has made the book repetitive to a great extent. This could have been exempted if it had been a fiction genre, but as informative as it is, the repetition would cause a loss of interest in the book.
I find it very intriguing to think about what category of people will find this book beneficial. As we mostly know the usage of weed is mainly for recreational purposes, and the media hasn’t left any chance of stigmatizing marijuana. Recent studies have shown immense medicinal uses of marijuana which signifies the spread of knowledge to all people and to implement it under medical supervision. Hence, I would suggest this book to everyone so that the user can regulate their usage to limit negative side effects, start the use for treatment, consider the effects on the market, and to further research the herb.
