Review of Fear Not, Dream Big, & Execute
Fear Not, Dream Big & Execute: This book is an intricate structure to pursue our dreams that deals with an entirely instinctive approach, rather than that which is tedious and uprooted from our true purpose. A book that not only helps an individual to chase his/her dream but also to effectively realize the dream itself. It is mesmerizing, how the writer differentiates the priesthood depending on the one true goal. This differentiation is unique because there might be certain tasks that ensure the fulfillment of a pastor’s duty but, might not stand with the achievement of the actual goal. A perspective of success from people who are admirable in their fields is always unique depending on the person and his occupation. In this book, the hurdles and distractions that divert you from making a contribution, which is possible by only oneself, to one’s dream are well discussed.
I would applaud the author, Jeff Meyer, for his work in keeping the simplicity of the book by introducing the analogy that he has spent most of his life in. I got to know a lot about the working of the church, their constant vigor to reach out to people so that they can make people see all parts of their life enriched with spirituality which will then lead them to the dream that they are created for. It’s the importance of those books that inspire people to live in the present and free themselves of false distractions. Here the light is shed on the same topic but in a style that the author is recognized for.
The book contains inspirations from the teachings of Christianity which might be conceived as a spiritual book. One of the most important parts of the book that highlights the unlearning of perception that holds a person back could have been made more practical. The effects of social media on an individual have been put profoundly but, the part where dreams are also the product of inspiration could have been made more clear.
I would rate this book 3 out of 4. Two of The various reason behind this is exceptional editing and the practices given after each chapter. The book might not captivate people who would not be patient enough to understand the meaning behind the book.
This book would be beneficial for every person, given that they have the patience to be broad-minded. At present times, almost everybody struggles more with ‘what?’ rather than ‘how?’ of the goals that give meaning to their life. People of different backgrounds who have just started in their careers or people that don’t find abundance in the goal that, society has defined for them, will find a great opportunity to reframe their views about themselves.
