ICF's definition of coaching is both personal development and leadership approach and technique to assist coachees in finding their solutions. The speed and complexity of change in business practices have never been greater than today. The Covid 19 pandemic dramatically intensified the workplace environment, with many organizations having to shift their operations online. In today's tech-driven society, organizations need to adapt their people-driven initiatives to succeed. The book Building A Coaching Culture by Andreas Von Der Heydt addresses the need of an organization to create a coaching culture to succeed. There is proof that a group of individuals born between 1981 and 1996 expect relevant and personal training from their employers. The author has interviewed both managers and employees and includes a five- step plan of how to implement coaching into the organization. This involves the factors that define successful in-house coaching, elements of a coaching program and how to implement the program. Managers play a key role in coaching new employees to help them integrate and create the basis for a successful career. Consequently, the objective of the research project is to present a research program that fits the type and size of an organization. This is determined by the type of culture

What I like about the book is that it emphasizes the importance of having the right leadership skills among managers. This research could influence the reader to evolve into an agent for social justice by addressing social advocacy supported by a specific coaching concept.

What I don't like about the book is that it can be technical for some readers and contains too many references which can be a challenge in following through. However, the author has done extensive research on the topic and covers all aspects of coaching.

I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because the book has been professionally edited. I did not come across any grammatical errors. It is interesting and captures the attention of the reader from the beginning to the end. The book should be a must-have for any leader wanting to develop a coaching culture in the workplace. Moreover, the book can be implemented in any type of organization which makes it very useful.

I would recommend this novel to any reader who has an interest in people development, people management, and coaching. It is also relevant to a manager who is interested in developing a coaching culture in the organization.

The relevance of coaching employees cannot be overemphasized. However, with more companies beginning to offer remote jobs, this culture is fast becoming redundant. I highly applaud the author for this thoughtful piece of work.
