Christianity and Islam may look quite similar, but they are two different beliefs. However, to invite Muslims into the teachings of Christ, we have to fully understand Islam's religion. Inviting Muslims to Christ, by Randall Ireland, is a non-fiction book with more than ten characters that both teach Christianity and the Islamic religion. The book's aim is to persuade Muslims that Christianity is the true religion and the path where one can find tranquility. To do this, the author takes us back to the historical background of both religions and begins to explain how one can get salvation, mercy, and forgiveness by accepting Jesus Christ as the Lord's savior. In the text, he raises some questions, such as: are people's religions or views about God different? How is it so? What must one do to be saved in different religions?

There are three positive things in the text that I notice. First, I appreciate how the author draws a clear distinction between Muslim and Christian teachings. For example, he mentions how Muslims think Jesus is merely a prophet, whereas Christians believe Jesus is the genuine Son of God. Secondly, I love how the book focuses on two different faiths, each of which has a concise and unique history. The author talks about the history of Islam and the Christian religion in order for the reader to understand which one of the religions can give a person salvation and eternal life. Finally, I love how the author respects the religion of Muslims, despite the contradictions they face with his own religion. Unlike every other radical Christian, he did not simply conclude that all Muslims would perish, but rather attempted to convince them that the only way for them to be saved was to confess Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the Lord of their personal savior.

The only thing I dislike about the book is that it seems to side with Christian beliefs. There might be some content that Muslims won't like to hear, especially those who are very passionate about their faith.

The book contains some grammatical and typographical errors, so I can't say it was thoroughly proofread. As much as I enjoyed reading the book, I can't give it a full four stars because of the previously mentioned flaw. So I will rate it 3 out of 4 stars. I suggest the author should consider the Islamic religion rather than overemphasize much of his own religion's beliefs. So, in conclusion, I can say this book is biased. However, this doesn't deny the fact that the book serves as a tool for Christians who want to preach the message of their religion to non-believers, such as Muslims.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about religion, particularly about Christian and Muslim beliefs. A Christian who is looking for a means to introduce the teachings of Jesus Christ to their Muslim friends should also read this book, since they will learn the tips and techniques on how to do so.
