Review of Health Tips, Myths, and Tricks
In Health Tips, Myths, and Tricks , Morton E. Tavel discusses health-related information, which one can use for quality and healthy living. The book has three parts. The first part is about health tips, which include information on health and weight loss, while the second part provides the reader with information on myths, or misleading and fake information, some of which are sponsored by the producers and sellers of these products so as to sell more in the market. The third part is about tricks, which discusses the way buyers are lured to purchase foods and drinks, thinking that the products would help them achieve healthy living.
There are a number of things I like in this book, especially on the tricks and myths about the products consumers buy in the market. I like the fact that the book tries to demystify the idea that not all products we buy from the market are healthy as they are perceived to be. People are concerned with making quick money and this makes it hard for the producers to focus on quality products. The book provides the consumers with the right ideas, which can form the basis of the decisions one makes before finally purchasing a product in the market.
I do not think there is anything wrong, or anything I dislike in this book. This is the kind of a book that people need to read and get to know that sometimes, we buy what would not be helpful to our lives, but unknowingly. Except for minor punctuation errors, this book is one of the best books I have read. I like the fact that the book tries to make it clear to the consumers that not every product in the market is healthy.
I give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars . I am very much impressed with the organization of the book, from the tips of quality products, to myths, and tricks used by producers and marketers to have these products bought in the market despite health concerns. Even though there are some minor punctuation errors, I do not think that the errors can make any change to the rating of such a good book.
I recommend this book to both young and old because everyone can find some significant information from it. Ideas such as that of bottled water and importance they have in our lives are crucial to everyone. However, I would like producers and sellers of such products to read this book, more so on myths and tricks because it exposes how they lure innocent consumers into buying unhealthy products.
