Review of Why Can't Johnny Just Quit?
Drug misuse is taking a toll on our existence, managing to include those of advanced age. We have gotten accustomed to drug abuse being caused by drug addiction, or just swallowing painkillers unaware of their predicament. Why Can't Johnny Just Quit? gives us an eye-opener of the same spanning from the true meaning of addiction, the issue of alcoholism, as well as answering questions like doesn't everyone react the same when introduced to a certain drug? Fortunately enough the author Kyle Oh has it all covered and just crazy detailed dissemination of the same.
The book is well organized into topics covering a specific item. The drugs or rather the issues discussed in the book are of great importance since they are eating up our current society at the cost of our lives. The author has a vast amount of knowledge which he jots down in the book. The knowledge herein can be life-saving and can transform individuals' lives. The spacing and font are quite engaging hence flawless reading is guaranteed.
We all happen to be culprits of painkillers. The sad news is that we can be taking them for fun which is very sad indeed for the people around us. The book recognizes major stars who have succumbed to the same. It has a few outstanding quotes, probably none I've heard or come across before. What is groundbreaking is that the author poses as a practitioner and hence works to wean people off their irresponsible drug schedules by the use of various counter drugs.
The author makes use of points and numbering to enable a reader connect with all the processes or medicines listed. The provision of statistical data helps ferment the details provided or rather show the severity of the same. Rhetorics help the reader contemplate all the details and even question themselves. The explanation laid here up till the prevention helps a reader make his decision wisely since after all everyone is responsible for their fate. The author also provides links for more clarification on the same. The book is extremely well edited. However, the author would have explained how exactly an overdose kills a patient.
I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars since it is well published and was able to answer most of my questions on drugs. I recommend it to practitioners who can then educate the public on the same since they are better placed to disseminate the information to the populace.
