It's a privilege to watch and live off the coast of a vast ocean on calm and bright days. Every day is an adventure in the journey we call life. Everybody can design a unique trip that will help us discover our spirit of exploration and learn what adventure means to us. Living life to the fullest means taking on new challenges, opportunities, and risks on a daily basis. When it comes to adventure, the Dreffins are the best. Their life was an adventure that made them thrilled and delighted, but also terrified, saddened and worn out. By reading this book, you'll get a complete picture of a family that has lived by the ocean, as well as a taste of South Africa's cultural diversity. 

The author narrates the book, and everyone can appreciate her tone of voice. Having visuals in each chapter helps me stay more engaged in the story. After reading Tina Dreffin's tale in Chapter 3, "New Love and Pain," I found it fascinating that her world was wholly transformed when she met her husband, Peter. Finally, the events of Tina's life were woven together into a spectacular because they lived happily together, and their love culminated in offspring. Since I similarly met my husband, this story of Tina's love has resonance for me. 

Even though it's not a huge concern and won't influence my enjoyment of the book in any way, I found the photos to be so small that it's hard to tell what they depict. My phone’s screen made the pages appear much smaller than they actually were. 

This book deals with a wide range of themes, including love, loss, hopelessness, and bewilderment, and introduces readers to new cultural beliefs. I didn't expect to find all of them in one book, and I commend the author for doing so. This book is also precisely edited, with only a few errors. Furthermore, the proper indentation and space after each paragraph indicate that it has been thoroughly proofread. With all of the positive and a few negative aspects I’ve provided, I am giving this book a perfect 4 out of 4 stars.

Bluewater Walkabout is an excellent read for anyone who likes memoirs or novels about travel and adventure. This book will also be interesting to people who want to keep their preconceptions about South Africa. You'll surely be grateful to Tina Dreffin for her effort to market this book.
