Surviving the Business of Healthcare by Barbara Galutia Regis PA-C is an instructive book that provides an overview of the challenges that modern healthcare faces, both from the standpoint of a patient and a practitioner. Among the issues discussed were the significance of being aware and advocating for oneself, the roles of various healthcare providers, health insurance alternatives, and navigating hospital admittance.

The author's father worked as a family doctor. Regis, the daughter of a family physician, noted the changes she's seen over the years as she's watched her father practice a highly individual style of medicine as compared to the many laws and regulations that frequently lead to costly patient care that the author now experiences. Regis also shared vivid anecdotes from her childhood, demonstrating how insurance may dictate and interfere with the quality of care and illustrating the heart of a doctor's calling.

This book, in my opinion, was well-written. This detailed book contains a plethora of information from the author. She gives readers a unique perspective on the dramatic developments in healthcare over the last few generations. She stresses the significance of choosing the correct primary care provider. I loved how she suggested that people look for cheaper drugs elsewhere.

I enjoyed reading this book. I couldn't think of anything negative to say about this book. I like the author's candor about her feelings about healthcare and how she believes it is overpriced when individuals do not have insurance. I particularly appreciate how open she was about her experiences as a child watching her father work as a medical practitioner. I admire the author's point of view and advocacy for patient-centered care.

This book was so educative. It is well-written, and the diction is simple to understand. I discovered no faults in the book, indicating that it had been exceptionally edited. Therefore, I give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars.

This book is recommended for people interested in learning more about advocating for excellent healthcare for themselves and their loved ones. It is also recommended for those interested in learning more about healthcare.
