Review of Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (German Edition)
I have heard that idioms help us build our vocabulary strength. With them, we can speak like pros and wise men or women. I have experienced that feeling firsthand. In Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (German Edition), we are taught about 300 well-used idioms. These are idioms that the author says are native to North America. These are idioms that anybody can use in their conversations with anybody. Divided into 25 thematic chapters, it shows us all that we need to know when it comes to those idioms mentioned. At the end of the day, the book was translated into German for the full benefit of Germans who may not understand English.
Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (German Edition) is a book that gives good value to those that choose to read it. The author, Peter Liptak, is an educator. He has been fortunate enough to see different educational systems. He has the experience that spans decades in his field. He taught all who read this book the importance of having an arsenal of idioms with us everywhere we go. He also taught us the contexts in which these idioms (that he wrote about in his book) should be used. I am glad that Peter Liptak wrote this book. The way he wrote it made it worth the time spent reading it.
I liked the way that the author wrote this book. His style was to state the idiom and explain it. He also gives examples of its usage. It later asks questions to test my understanding. How can I not like this book when it was written in a way that helped me understand and keep every drop of wisdom that it offered?
In the first paragraph, I mentioned that the author translated this book into German. I speak the language, and I found that the translations were perfect. It does not leave room for Germans to wonder what the author hoped to convey to his readers. He ensured that he gave much value in the translated parts, as I saw in the English part. This was what I liked most about the book.
If you have read this book, you will understand why I did not dislike anything in it. It was such an interesting read, with a unique style. Everything in the book aimed at helping me grow the arsenal I talked about earlier.
Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (German Edition) was edited exceptionally well. I said this is because the author ensured that he corrected all typos. That is not the only reason I decided to give this book a perfect rating. The main reason for that would be that I did not dislike anything in it. That makes me rate it 4 out of 4 stars. I found this book so interesting and filled with knowledge. I recommend it to Germans who wish to learn idioms from a popular part of the world.
