To learn the English language, you must go out of your way. You should read books that are written in it. You must also use certain words or sentences that are peculiar to it. One such sentence or phrase is an idiom. An idiom is a phrase or clause that has a deeper meaning than you can decipher on the surface. An example is "until the fat lady sings" which means that something is not over until it is. There are more than 250 of these in Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (German Edition). Each chapter came with exercises for training purposes. They are also stories that have these idioms in almost every sentence to help you and me be better at using them. Peter Liptak wrote these to help the readers who speak and read German get familiar with the English language.

The summary of this book gives a rundown of what it contains. It shows you what you stand to gain when or if you choose to look into it. One thing that I can promise you is that even though its pages are few, the lessons it gives are gigantic. They will serve their purpose in your life.

Over the years, I have taken some interest in idioms. The very first one I learned was "kick the bucket." That means to die. The fact that this could mean something unexpected was fascinating. So, I read books that teach these. Out of all the books that I have read so far on this subject, Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (German Edition) is my favorite. I liked it because it translated these idioms into the German language. Its content was rich. Again, it provided exercises after every chapter. This feature was a welcome change from most of the books that I have read. They help make it easy to understand everything that Peter Liptak wrote in the book. This feature is what I liked the most about the book.

I loved everything about Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (German Edition). It was not a conscious decision on my part to not dislike anything. As an honest person, I always give honest feedback. I felt that this book was made rich by the author's storytelling and simple explanations.

To go straight to the meat of the review, I give this an awesome rating of 4 out of 4 stars because I did not dislike it or anything in it. The book was also exceptionally edited. This feature earned it 20% of the score that I gave it. I also liked the cover page. I will like to read more books by this author.

Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (German Edition) teaches its readers in three steps. After writing the idioms in both English and German, it provides exercises that will help them. Lastly, it prompts readers to put these idioms to work and use them. This is a sure way to ensure that readers do not read this book and remain the same. This edition is for those that speak the German language. It is now right for me to recommend that everyone that falls into the above category should read this book. It may also appeal to those who read the English language. If that happens, then they should feel free to read it.
