The last book that I read by this author was Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (Trad. Chinese Edition). This book, like that one, teaches the meaning of idioms and how to use them in great detail. The only difference between Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (German Edition) and the latter is that this book translates everything to German for the benefit of Germans. It contains over 200 idioms and subjective tests to ascertain if you understand them all. These idioms are about everyday life.

Peter Liptak divided the book into 25 short chapters. This means that it has 25 themes. Each theme has over 7 idioms on it. These chapters focus on respective topics of life. Readers can use some of these idioms in the morning and other times of the day. They are idioms for mundane activities like signing, sleeping, and many others. Examples also accompany every one of these idioms. They made them simple to understand and use.

Much like I saw in the other book, this one contains several pictures that match some of the idioms. I am a lover of pictures in books. They help most people remember. It helped me. I remember those idioms that had photos more than those that didn't. It was like learning a new thing at a pace that was so unbelievable. I am happy that the author thought about using this technique or style. I have no regrets about reading everything in this book.

I liked everything in Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (German Edition) like I did in Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (Trad. Chinese Edition), and I did not despise anything in it. What I liked most were the activities at the tail end of each chapter. These activities were both theory and subjective questions. I practiced my new idioms with these activities.

I rated this four out of four stars because I liked everything about it. It was worth the read and taught me much about idioms that I have heard people use in passing. I also like its German translation. It was edited exceptionally well too.

Idiom Attack Vol. 1 Everyday Living (German Edition) is best suited for German-speaking people. It will help them understand idioms and how to use them. I always say that it will not be of much help to beginners in English. Since it does not actively teach the language word for word, it should be read by those who have mastered the language.
