Who Told You That You Were Naked? written by William Combs was depicted as a reexamination of the Garden of Eden. The author had his first breakthrough at a very tender age. He had the chance to witness the glorious display of northern light, and since then, he has always been curious about understanding God better.

He carried us through the creation of Adam and explained to us Adam's intellectual level. Adam was so intelligent that he could name the unknown. Adam gave names to all the animals, and although he was comfortable, he craved a companion. His loneliness made God put him into a slumber and create Eve from Adam's rib. Eve had no idea about the rules guarding the forbidden food, so she fell prey to temptation, which marked the beginning of sin.

The book is divided into ten chapters. The first two chapters explain the origin of the earth and the circumstances that led to the banishment of Adam and Eve from Eden. The following two chapters explain how the consequences of their actions affected the world and provide reasons for the reexamination of the garden of Eden. The remaining chapters gave us hope as God brought forth a savior who would save us if we had faith in him. That is, Jesus Christ.

I appreciate how the author includes questions at the end of each chapter to remind us of what we have learned and also highlights important messages in every chapter. These highlights got stuck in my mind, and the one that kept coming to my mind is that the serpent was correct to indicate the Lord had this aptitude. But he deceived the first couple into believing they would become more like God by gaining this understanding. [page 111]. After I realized what had happened, I could not blame Adam or Eve for eating the forbidden fruit.

I enjoyed reading this book at the start. It, however, got confusing on the go as the author did not follow a story through before diverting into another. Who Told You That You Were Naked? is both educational and entertaining. I love how the author filled in some holes in the well-known Adam and Eve story, providing the readers with a clearer view of the situation.

I could not find any flaws in it because it was so well-written. Thus, I give it a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend this book to the young and aged because it provides a better understanding of the Bible.
