I very much want to provide a positive and encouraging review of this book but I find it unfair to do so. While there were definitely parts I found interesting and while I don't question that this author was both taken advantage of and treated poorly, the book overall is a tedious read. It is redundant in many areas and sometimes poorly structured. For example, I was well into the book when the author randomly offered (and not for the first time) what he hoped the reader would gain. It felt like alot of rambling and revisiting but not in the way of building or further explanation but more disjointed.

I did enjoy learning a bit more about the behind the scenes of a casino, an area where I had little knowledge. I also found some of the author's descriptions both quirky and humorous; although, I am not sure humor was the intent. It is possible with some restructuring, that this book could be much more informative and easily followed. Because of the book's potential and its informative nature, I rate it a 2 out of 4.
