A Dream for Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah tells an inspiring and memorable story. The author was born during a political crisis. Despite the difficult political situation, life was calm and pleasant. The author tells us in detail about his family and the country, the traditions, and the crisis there. The road to a better future is full of hardships and challenges. The difficult economic background does not stop young people from fighting for a free Algeria. This period shaped Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's personality and largely determined his next steps and career. The book consists of 17 chapters. Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's life, hardships, and unremitting efforts to make the world a better place will not leave anyone indifferent.

I should mention that the book is written in understandable and simple language. This makes the book easy to read for everyone. The book also includes photos that help the reader visualize the stories. Also, the difficult path taken by the author is uplifting and motivating. Despite many obstacles, he was able to get an education, and at the same time dreamt of a free, independent homeland. The author's youth shapes his values and goals, the most important of which is to establish peace and equality in the world.

The book is quite well organized. We take a step-by-step look at the author's life. I was especially surprised by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's endurance in prison, even at such a young age. I will never forget what emotions evoked in me when he said "oh how beautiful it is to be free". It is also commendable that the book addresses many sensitive issues, such as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, poverty, and corruption in Africa, Annexation of Algeria by France. The author is quite cautious about this issue. He shares his experiences and views on peace; the book is not politicized and does not insult or humiliate anyone.

The book is a pleasure to read. I can't say that I did not like anything. The author maintains neutrality from the first page to the last page and speaks very carefully on sensitive issues.

I rated this book 4 out of 4 stars. The book is well structured, with photos attached that make reading interesting and rhythmic. The author tells us stories that are inspired by the devoting struggle for peace. Even his student years were not peaceful and comfortable. I think the situation in his own country has made the author a worthy fighter for peace. He was able to make an honorable career and contribute to making the world a better place. The book is well-edited. I did not find any errors.

I recommend the book to people who want to know more about our recent past, which has changed the lives of many nations, both for the better and for the worse.
