LOGJAM of a Beauteous MIND is a nineteen chapter non-fiction book focused on family relationships. It revolves around the lives of Peter Karp, her wife Mona & their two sons. The closely knit family live in total openness, transparency and trust for each other. They have a cordial relationship with their relatives whom in four years they get robbed off by death. This leaves a gap in their lives and life becomes worse when Mona is diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. The author describes his wife as hardworking and intelligent high school teacher who always has time for her students, and loves adventure with her family.Peter Karp becomes Mona’s caregiver and ensures that he gets the best oncologists for her. It becomes devastating when Mona starts reacting to the second infusion of taxotere and is dropped from the taxotere phase two trial.Rigas changes her medication which she responds to well. Mona lives for close to two years with stage four cancer. Read this book and find out how Mona becomes stage four lung cancer survivor for this long and where she draws her strength from.

The story revolves around close family members who are truly affectionate for one another. It is also full of good moments despite their day to day challenges. Its flow is very organized making the reader motivated to read to the end.

At the beginning the story was a bit confusing to me with lots of flashbacks, but which encouraged me to read to the end.

I learned some lessons from the story that family will always be there for you despite life challenges. I admired the bond between Peter Karp, his wife, sons Mathew and Mark, daughter in- law Irene and their grandson David. Most of the doctors in the story also show humanity to mankind and make their patients pain more bearable.
I enjoyed reading the story though there are few spellings and punctuation errors. Therefore,i rate LOGJAM of a Beauteous MIND three out of four stars. I advise that the book is taken through another round of editing.

In conclusion, I recommend this story to readers who love reading stories that revolve around family adventure and love. This book is not a religious book neither does it have profane language, thus can be read by young adults. I would love to read more books from this author.
