How many hours did you sleep last night? Was it more or less than eight hours? Do you feel you are not fully productive during your work hours? Are you awake at night? Does all your anxiety not let you sleep at your bedtime?

In today’s modern world, lack of sleep has become a major cause of concern for almost everyone. If you are also someone like me, who is having trouble with sleep, then The Drug-Free Sleep Solution: The Four-Week Program for Overcoming Insomnia Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy by David Durocher is a must-read book for you.

The book is pretty short and divided only into seven chapters. But don’t be deceived by its thickness. The author comprises everything a person, suffering from insomnia, needed to know to help himself. The book starts with a basic introduction to insomnia and sleep. The first chapter focuses on the superiority of CBT-1 oversleep medication, followed by the strategy of maintaining a sleep diary. In the second chapter, anxiety and depression, rules are discussed. In the third chapter, the author discusses ways to avoid insomnia and the importance of exercise. In chapter four, the book mentioned various techniques to relax the mind and fall asleep quickly. In chapter five, the reader learns about cognitive therapy. The sixth chapter gives positive reinforcement for depression and anxiety using various methods, like meditation. The book contains references to many other outstanding books and many quotes.

I liked the sixth chapter the most. It contains techniques that are very helpful for anxiety and depression also, along with insomnia. I also liked the mixture of psychology and religious concepts used by the authors in this book. There is nothing to dislike in this book if you use it for insomnia CBT-1 treatment. I am pleased to give it 4 out of 4. The great thing about the book is that it can also be very useful for anxiety and depressed people. One of the many lessons I learned from this book is to always convert your negative thoughts into positive thoughts. I’m using it in my life, and it’s very useful.

The book was narrated from the author’s perspective. There was no use of profanity. The book was perfectly edited. I recommend it to adults who are facing a problem with handling anxiety and depression. This book is not only useful for people suffering from insomnia but also for those who are taking a lot of stress. This book contains a few very useful pieces of information, which can benefit everyone. It’s just a book of about 50 pages with a lot of knowledge. So, everyone must try it because sooner or later, we all are going to have issues with our sleep.
