Exploring Wine Regions - Bordeaux France: offers a great travel experience, even without leaving home. The Bordeaux explanation is incredible. It mentions history, geography, orography, etc. It makes you think about visiting Bordeaux the book makes it look like a great place to explore and visit. Michel C. Higgins presents a guide to places to visit, museums, restaurants and especially vineyards that offer unique experiences dedicated to making each visit as special as it is unmatched.

The level of commitment can be appreciated since it is a series of trips made by the author, with all the intention of getting to know Bordeaux in depth. In addition, he explains why he took into account certain places or how he got to know them. He does not miss any place and clearly explains what is important about each one and how to get there. "Highlights" of each place are placed at the beginning of each chapter or rather, as a presentation of the place. Also, add a series of suggested routes or tips to make the trip easier, add time, prices, etc.

On the other hand, one of the many reasons that I do not find the book pleasant. Is that it takes into account expensive places, with reservations or difficult access. Another aspect that I did not like is that it jumps, that is, one moment it talks about one thing and the next it is already mentioning other things, the order is somewhat confusing, sometimes I felt that there were incomplete pages or even chapters and I had to read everything again because he could not understand the jump he gave from one topic to another. Also, another negative aspect of the book is that there were repetitive sentences, sometimes it even felt that the paragraph was repeated.

I give it a 3 out of 4stars, I could give it fewer stars because I didn't like the book, however, being objective the book has good intentions and background research and commitment this does increase the value of the book and that surely many people manage to enjoy it. Also, as I mentioned previously, it seems like an interesting guide to getting to know Bordeaux and I imagine that if you have the budget you could do it from head to toe.

Now, I would recommend this book to those passionate about wines who have a particular interest in travelling to Bordeaux. However, this book also makes a great edition to have on the coffee table. Since it is striking and has many images. Which could be a good addition to coffee table books. Also to those who have an interest in learning more about wine.

Regarding the writing, I could not find or perceive any error, so I consider that this book is well edited in terms of writing, however, taking into account the chapters that suddenly end and jump to another topic, I think that the edit in that part doesn't pay much attention. But it is a generally good and interesting book.
