Different Family Structures by Mildred Stallworth is a very interesting, enticing, and straightforward book. This book takes us on a journey to understand what family means and how important family is in a person's life. The family provides support during challenging times and gives one a sense of belonging. The author also exposes us to the purpose of the family, which serves as a guide, protection, and good socialization. The family comes first in a man's life because someone without a family, whether a biological or foster family, is an island since family stands by you through thick and thin. Furthermore, a family must not be by blood or marriage, but your family can be your closest friends, workmates, or friends of friends.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book because it opened my eyes to different types of families and the bond and understanding that should exist in a family. This book will educate parents, caregivers, and guardians who don't give proper attention to their families or children because of their busy schedules. The author made us understand that the family is a masterpiece of God's creation, so we must cherish it.

Interestingly, I enjoyed the part where single parents are encouraged, supported, shown empathy, and not judged. Sometimes, being a single parent is not their wish, but circumstance made it so. I love it the most where the grandparents come in. The love and affection they have for their grandchildren are unquestionable and immeasurable. They are ready to do anything, even go out of their way to make their grandchildren happy and comfortable.

I enjoyed reading this book. It is an encouragement to people suffering, having bad experiences, or having a tough time in their homes. This book would benefit readers a lot. After all, they will learn to control their temper, learn to understand their spouse and children, and tackle situations at every point in time. Readers would also understand that having a blissful home is a conscious effort and a gradual process that needs hard work to achieve.

Another aspect of the book that I like is how short and loaded this 47-page publication is. It is an easy read, concise, and straight to the point. The sentences are short and filled with vital information. There were no unnecessary words in this ten-chapter book. Also, this book has beneficial tips on topics like parenting styles, family violence, effects of divorce on children, and so many others.

In conclusion, this is one of the most relevant books I have ever read because it made me love my family more. I do not dislike anything about this book. It has no typographical errors, and the editing is exceptional. Therefore, I happily rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend it to every parent, especially to those that want to have a beautiful home.
