How to be successful is a self help book by M. Curtis McCoy. In this book, the author has interviewed many successful people from different fields and professions. One of them is also a priest. The author has shared all these interviews with the readers through the book “How to be Successful”. The author has also included his personal experiences in this book. The book contains a great deal of important life lessons from the lives of highly successful people. All the lessons are very useful and can be easily implemented by those want to become successful in their life. The author has asked each interviewee the same questions but the answers provided by them are unique.

The language of this book is easy to read and understand. The author has interviewed a few notable individuals. One of them being his own mother. It is truly amazing that he interviewed his mother. Knowing her side of the story and how she overcame so many hardships was highly inspirational.

I loved the way most of the interviewees spoke about reading the Bible. The author too has included a couple of Bible verses throughout the book. As a Catholic, I was touched by this gesture.

The font of the book is Typewriter which is very difficult to read. It gave me a headache after a while. The contents of the book are amazing but the font face ruins the fun of reading the book.

I rate this book 4 out of 4, because I loved every page of this book. This book is truly a guide to success. I feel highly motivated and inspired after reading all these success stories. The author has beautifully captured the essence of success by asking the right questions. The interviews focus on the individual’s belief system and not just their habits. This helps the readers understand that besides habits and business acumen, our personal belief system, especially religious beliefs play an important role in success. The author also emphasizes that is not necessary to be a Catholic in order to be successful, instead one should do what Jesus did. That is the only way to be successful.

I recommend this book to teens, youngsters and especially adults. Also, everyone who wants to be successful should definitely read this book “How to be successful”. The experiences and knowledge of these successful people will surely change your life.
