Review of A Dream For Peace
A Dream For Peace by Dr. Ghoulem Berrah is an impressive tale that deals with actions aimed that were used set others into freedom. This novel explanation about the author who is a freedom fighter. This novel starts by narrating to us where the writer was born, the city he was born in and, the kind of people in it. By that time marriage was considered a way of establishing alliances. Farming and livestock rearing was widely practised. The story unfolds when the author when the author's mom took charge of the family after his dad died. His mother strived to provide for the author and, ensuring the author had a good education. In this novel the author talks of his education from pre-school to University. The author was academically gifted and, his grades granted him opportunities. He attended a university in France. He became a student leader. The author and other students faced racism. This made the author and other victims of racism form a union to help them fight for their rights. The author was also imprisoned. This novel also mentions other political activities Ghoulem Berrah involved himself in. This novel is made up of seventeen chapters.
The writer has excelled in narrating all the events in this novel. I also like how the author mentioned real-life events in his novel. Through written and narration of real-life events, my mind was ignited. It made me create imagery. I also like how the author mentioned his sisters and brothers. I also like the level of courage the author had. He always stood for freedom and, truth. This novel is a reflection of real happening in our society. The level of explanation is good. I was educated. The prologue, epilogue, photos and, biography about the author are all good. The language employed is simple. I understood every sentence.
The aspect that I found disappointing is that the level of suspense is minimal. It had no humour in it. I did not like how small children were brainwashed while in school. Even though it happened I did not like how the colonialist treated their subjects.
I will credit this novel a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. It is professionally edited. I did not notice any typing errors while I was reading it. There is no profanity in this novel. The use of vulgar wording is absent in this novel. The grammar involved is perfect. The reason why I gave this rating is that I was entertained and, I was also educated about diplomacy.
I will highly recommend this rewarding novel. I thoroughly enjoy reading this novel. I couldn't put it down. By the end of this novel, you will feel like a diplomat and a freedom fighter. I was moved by this story and, I will strongly advise one to read this book. I will recommend this novel to politicians, middle-aged adults and History students. This novel is suitable for all religions.
