In the book Unchecked capitalism is Killing us,author Earl B. Rynerson basically sheds a light on how the democracy of the American people is gradually being threatened and unchecked capitalism is seriously affecting the environment and provision of various essential services and the quality of life of the average person in America while the wealthy people who run the different corporates become richer.

This book is simply amazing. Each chapter addresses a specific issue and industry affected in detail as Earl B. Rynerson digs a little deeper and brings out concrete evidence from different interviews and actual numerical values. Different comparisons are also made, unmasking the greed that has sprouted in various corporates and among the leaders. The timelines that various events have taken place have been outlined showing how serious unchecked capitalism has become over time. This book serves as an eye opener to the people and a call to act to fight for equity in the different corporates, with the author also giving suggestions on how individual and groups can win this fight. The tad of sarcasm here and there makes it an interesting read too.

The only negative aspect about this is that some of the solutions provided to the matters raised may seem a little too hard to follow through with. The book might also come off as too political to people who are not into this.

I rate Unchecked Capitalism Is Killing Us 3 out of 4 stars. This book has been expertly written to put across a message that society should really see and act upon rather than downplaying the consequences of the unchecked capitalism. The author brings out the urgency of the matter and is really convincing. It is also clear that a lot of research has been done in writing this book.

I would totally recommend this book not only to the citizens of the United States of America but also, to people in other parts of the world as this issue seems to have spread to many corners of the world. Everyone should read this book to see how worse things are getting as a result of unchecked capitalism and greedy leaders and be reminded that the citizens have the power to demand immediate change in how some decisions are made and create a better world where greed does not dominate and destroy us. You will not regret choosing to read this book.
