The mindset by Ace Bowers is a memoir about how the author manages to create a better life for himself and his kids, despite coming from a poor, dysfunctional family. In this book, Ace Bowers shares his painful childhood memories of domestic violence, hurt, loneliness and disappointment. Readers will also discover principles and secrets that helped him overcome.

Nothing is ever a waste of time if you learn something from it. Mindset is everything. We are our own person. If we don’t like our life the way it is, we have the power to change it. There are so many things to love about this book. I love the fact that it is so practical and believable. This author talks of how simple things like hard work, motivation, responsibility and aiming high, can change one's life. He doesn't attempt to confuse readers with fantastic philosophies. It's just about the right things with the right mindset. This is quite practical. I also love how the author turned what looked like a terrible situation into a source of motivation. The more chapters I read, the more it became obvious that I was reading a special book. I will be making some changes in my lifestyle, which I believe will help me become a better person, and I have this book to thank.

This book is filled with so many lessons. Readers will learn that sometimes, the best way to deal with hurt, is to forgive. Readers will also discover that nothing is truly impossible. I think the most important lesson in this book is that family will always be family.
I do not dislike anything about this book. The messages contained in it are inspiring, the book is well edited, I did not find any typo while reading it. The author's writing style is also engaging and easy to understand. It is safe to say that this is a brilliant book.

Although the author talks a few times about his belief in God and God's timing, his message suggests that we play the more important role in determining how our lives turn out. Therefore,I think this book is suitable for all, and I would recommend it to everyone trying to create a better future for him or herself.

I would rate this book a 4 out of 4. It is such an amazing book. This book made me hope. It made me dream of a better tomorrow. There are few books capable of inspiring me in such a way. This book did, I trust it to do same for other readers as well.

This sounds like it could be very useful for some of my students (high school teacher here). I might have to pick it up and take a look to see if it's something they could handle. I'm always looking for uplifting books like this for my non-fiction unit. Thanks for the great review!
