[rwc=id357959-125]4 out of 4 stars.[/rwc]The Mindset is a memoir by Ace Bowers about how something as simple as changing your mindset can turn your life around. Bowers used the struggles of his childhood to shape the kind of father and husband he wanted to be. He took his failures and turned them into motivation to keep trying and pushed himself from janitor to millionaire. This book will inspire anyone struggling with self-improvement and help them to change their mindset.

The aspect of this book I liked the most was the general premise of the memoir. I think at some point in our lives, we all need an emotional release from things that have happened in our past. I like that the author intended to write this memoir to come to terms with his past and celebrate in his present. Even by writing the book, the author is showing us that there is always something we can do to make ourselves feel and be better. I liked that the further he got into writing, the more he realized that by writing about his own experiences, he could help others. I found the entire book to be inspiring and it made me want to read more from this author.

I didn’t find any aspect to this book that I didn’t like. The writing style is easy to follow and understand. It has been edited exceptionally well. It only took me about two hours to read and I almost want to read it again so I don’t miss a single piece of advice from the author. It’s a good story about someone who had a lot of things go wrong that turned their life around for the best. I couldn’t possibly fault it in any way. It is one of the most inspirational books I’ve read.

I think that every person should read this book at some point in their life. It is a reminder that no matter where we find ourselves in life, we have the power to turn our lives around and better ourselves. The author discusses each stage of his life, childhood, marriage, becoming a parent, watching your parents age, and for that reason, I think almost any age of reader will connect to his story. I think it is a good book for younger readers because it will inspire them to always work hard to accomplish the goals they set for themselves. It is equally beneficial for older adults because it is a reminder that we can always decide to better ourselves.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The author’s story is exceptionally motivating. Only minutes after beginning to read the memoir I felt motivated to start taking better care of myself and establish and work towards goals. By the end of the book, I was ready to start applying for better jobs and setting requirements for myself to do better at keeping up with family and friends. This memoir, although originally intended to benefit the author, is one of the best motivational stories I have read in a long time. It is short, concise, and to the point. If we simply practice a different mindset, we can accomplish anything we put our minds to.
