Review by JaneKreshtak -- The Mindset by Ace Bowers
The Mindset written by Ace Bowers is a bibliographical novel about a persistent and inspirational way to success, from a janitor with a salary of $6 to a millionaire. This memoir describes the life of Bowers from troublesome and traumatizing childhood to successful adulthood. It highlights the milestones that helped identify his determination and motivation to move on and never give up on his dreams.
The positive side of the book is that it can inspire people to do more. The story of the author is so fascinating. The book presents the thoughts and ideas of Ace Bowers, his fears, and overcoming them. Willpower and mindset can change your life completely. The author explains that he was able to break the circle of poverty and start from scratch the life of his dreams. I can say that the book will not provide you with instructions on how to become wealthy - however, it will show you that your lifestyle and the achievement of goals depend on you and your way of thinking. The author convinces that anything is possible, even when you are uneducated, depressed, and in debt. I liked how the author shares his experiences. When I read the book, time flew by very quickly, as if I was talking to a friend over a cup of tea. The honesty of the author catches you and keeps you from putting the book down.
I can name only one negative aspect of the memoir -the novel was short for me. The book was so absorbing and enjoyable that I wanted to read more about the author’s struggles, fears, moments of happiness, and discussion on what matters in this life. Mindset is everything - it can lead you on your journey further than you expect.
That is the reason I give this book four out of four stars. The most important reason is that I admire the author and his transformation. I enjoyed reading about his fantastic path to happiness. Biographical books do inspire me more than just practical books on success. Courageous, determined, and persistent people like Ace are full of inspiration.
Without a doubt, I would recommend this memoir to people who are searching for inspiration. The author said that he was so close to giving up and becoming homeless, but all that matters is the mindset and ability to believe in yourself. Readers who are into bibliographical novels on success will relish this book.
