The Sprituality Puzzle by James Rondinone and Renee Rondinone is an extraordinary book based on a discussion between a father and his daughter. In this absolutely amazing book, James attempts to answer a lot of questions on the process of salvation. James’ daughter attended a different church from that of his father. A father's discussion with his daughter on how an unbeliever can become a believer, which is to say, a child of God and thus secure a better place after physical death is what constitutes the whole book. Simple, without being simplistic, the author puts together the pieces of a ‘spirituality puzzle’ by comparing and contrasting the various salvation messages across different Christian denominations.

I was intrigued by the multitude of scriptural references used by the author to support his various arguments. Both scriptures from the Old Testament and the New Testament where used to carefully examine how a person attained a good relationship with God in the Bible. In addition to that, the author made frequent use of brackets to give an alternative word or explain further on difficult words or concepts.

James managed to arouse the reader to desire to move on to the next chapter to get the other piece of the puzzle. Once you finish reading one chapter, it becomes almost irresistible to flip to the next chapter by the way the author convincingly makes an invitation. I was utterly amused by this style of writing. James demonstrated a deeper understanding of the Holy Scriptures. This book offers a clear explanation of the correct salvation message and the vital components of this correct salvage message.

From the Patriarchs, James picked examples of characters like Enos, Enoch, Noah and Abraham. A close examination of the lives of the above mentioned characters of the Old Testament helps us to understand what it meant to have a relationship with or fellowship with God in those days. James picked on more Old Testament characters from the Mosaic Law age to check the differences. He then went on to the New Testament to examine the procedures adhered to during those days and then lastly, during our present day times, or the Church age.

I believe there was careful research in the compilation of the arguments set out in this book. I could find nothing to dislike about this book. I found only one typo, but it is evident the book was professionally edited.

What I liked most about this book is that the author, with an open mind and careful, thorough examination of the Holy Scriptures managed to single out the most accurate salvation message applicable to our times. So many lives seeking the answer to this life will find help in this book. For numerous reasons mentioned in this review, I give it a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. This book will appeal most to those who want to make a remarkable change in their lives through the God of The Holy Bible.
