Review by Winter Swan -- Empowered by Dominica Lumazar
Being a business owner isn't always as easy as people make it seem. As the CEO of your company or business, you must find a way to divide your time between family and work. You must also have a healthy relationship with both your employees and customers for your business to be successful. This fact can never be overemphasized. Many businesses fail because employees didn't get the memo that their jobs should be done in a certain way or because the business failed to make their customers happy (after all, what is a business without customers?)
Dominica Lumazar teaches her readers the little secrets that every business owner should know in the book she titles Empowered: The Business Owner's Guide to Leadership & Success. She uses this book to teach lessons on how to not just keep your businesses or companies successful, but also how to be an effective leader that gets the job done. Some of the lessons covered by this beautiful book are; marketing strategies, dealing with thieving employees, meeting customers' needs, understanding both your employees and your customers, and how to juggle business and family. In summary, Dominica Lumazar teaches you how to be your boss (and a good one at that).
My favorite thing about the book is the stories that Dominica Lumazar generously shared of her transition from being helpless (due to an accident that she was involved in when she was younger) to being a powerful and much sought after social media marketer in the world today. The story was inspiring to me and I appreciate Dominica Lumazar for sharing. Her experience proves that I have no excuse to be unsuccessful. It doesn't matter much if I am incapacitated, broke, clueless, lonely, etc. If I truly desire to succeed I will, as long as I push myself to get up and put my vision for my life into gear.
In the course of reading the book, I saw nothing that I hated or liked least. The book (which is just 144 pages long) is easy to understand. I felt like I was learning at the feet of a well-grounded and experienced coach, and I discovered no typographical error in it. Honestly speaking, there was nothing to hate about the book (to me).
I give Empowered: The Business Owner's Guide to Leadership & Success a perfect rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I give this rating because Dominica Lumazar did a wonderful job in writing this book. The tips shared are practical, she answers a lot of questions that have been asked and are still being asked by entrepreneurs around the world. Also, the proofreading and editing team did a wonderful job of editing the book.
If you own a business or are planning to start one up and you do not know how to go about navigating the waters of leadership in the entrepreneurial world, then I encourage that you grab a copy of this book and learn from the experience and stories of a successful woman.
