Review by marirej -- How To Be Successful
[Following is a volunteer review of "How To Be Successful" by M. Curtis McCoy.]
How to be successful? How to stand out in today's world where everyone has an equal opportunity? M. Curtis McCoy in his book How To Be Successful: Think Like A Leader leads us to answer these as well as many other questions on the road to success. The author, from his experience, create the most practical rules that should be followed in order to reach the goal, going through a difficult path but reaching the successful point.
The perfect guide after which you want to start your business very easily and with strong motivation. The form that the author used during the writing of the book is very clear. It consists of a series of useful tips, and then interviews with very successful people who answer questions first hand and give readers answers to what interests them most when reading a book like this. Through the interviews readers get a clear and practical picture of what each of the very successful people applied in their business, as well as in their private life, was obtained in order to get a balanced and enjoyable life.
One of the things I liked most about reading this book is that the author, based on his experience, which was not easy at all, gives readers motivation to know that is always the sun after the rain. Namely, after recovering from a very serious illness, he managed to break through to the top and follow his goal, although many said that something like that was impossible for him. However, the most important support is mentioned here, the support that was received from the family and which is so motivating that it can break all the predictable outcomes.
In my opinion, readers while reading a book like this can practically apply the experience of the author as well as his guidelines to become successful and that is why I would rate this book with 3 out of 4 stars . I can understand from the example of many successful people what is holding them back and what they need to do in order to achieve equally great success. What I disliked most about reading this book is that I think the author could have put a lot more effort into direct guidelines leading to success, I think there should be more of them, but also that they could be much better formatted and more clearly presented, so that readers can easily and quickly reach success - the reason why they read this book.
An audience that should read a book like this is an audience that is trying or has an idea to realize their own business plan. Namely, I think that during the reading, it is not important how old you are, but how much you want to start something of your own, focusing on pleasant and unpleasant experiences of people who have already gone through a difficult path to success.
